And it Begins...

The boys are back and classes have begun.

Tripper has been the talk of the town. Everyone who meets him is so impressed with how well behaved he is and how sweet his disposition is. Neither of which I can take any credit for.

Today I made an announcement about the club I'm going to start (which I still need to think of a name for...any thoughts?) Pretty much the boys can sign up for training classes either once a month, twice a month or once a week. At the class they'll learn how to train a dog the basics, reading a dog's body language and certain accommodations for guide dog training.

We'll use other campus dogs in the class as well so everyone can have hands on experience (we'll rotate on who handles Tripper) And eventually when Tripper is a littler older the boys will be able to sign him out, so to speak, and take him to class, the dining hall, practice, etc. Don't worry they will have to pass a test with me so I know they know how to handle them and they'll continue to correctly train him.

Until then he comes with me (and Casey and Rocky) to soccer practice (check out the Salisbury pictures)  and even sometimes to the office. Today I had to take him in a meeting and the other people didn't even know he was there...well until he started hiccuping.

So 30 days have past and you have some amazing pictures. Why don't you ask followers to vote each month on their faviorite picture. After 12 months and right before Tripper goes to his next trainer, you could make a calendar to send with Tripper. When Tripper is finally assigned to the person he will help, the family and friends can see what Tripper was like each month growing up. Great Blog - I love reading the adventures of Tripper.
